my life

So much has happened these past few months . . . I have
gone through the gammet of emotions, from really elated
jubilation to unconsolably disconsolate. Unfortunately,
the melancholy, as usual, is the predominate sentiment,
though, tempering all in its wake.

The numbness remains.
It will never go away.
The cold in my heart
has infected my soul.
Darkness hovers over me,
continually threatening
to cover me completely.
There are some who say
I am more gray
these days
but I know
they are wrong.
