The Life and Times of Cupcake
2002-08-23 22:07:41 (UTC)

8/23/02 Gross

Characters: Woman; man in orange vest redirecting traffic.

Setting: Salamo Road, West Linn. Road on opposite side of
woman closed for construction--thus, the guy in orange.
August 23rd, 1:30 pm, 78 degrees F, 45% humidity.

Plot: She walks past him on the first stretch of her jog.
No words are spoken. An hour later, upon her return, (she
is on opposite side of a closed street from him), a bunch
of cars pile up before him to ask what is going on. She
wipes her face, he waves. She assumes it was just a
miscommunication (he thinking she was waving at him). She
passes him just as all the cars leave, so it's just the guy
and her. By now they are only about 15 feet apart. He
waves again.

Dialogue:
Guy: "Is it hot enough?" (smiling)
Woman: (laughs) "Yeah. I can imagine you though, it's
freakin hot out here" (keeps on walking, has passed him by
now)
Guy: "Well, you're lookin good"
Woman: (laughs nervously) "Thanks" (walks faster)

Just another day in West Linn for me.
