YOUR PICTURE HANGS ON MY WALL

Your picture hangs on my wall
I sit and wait for your call
But my phone never rings
So where’s your wings
I’m not aware
I still think you care
Every night I wait
Thinking will go out on a date
But it never comes
And I’m left to believe that your not the one

I guess it was just youth
But I learned the truth
I was so innocent back then
I wont let that happen again
I had to learn the hard way
That love is one game you don’t want to play
It builds you up just to break you down
Thrown into water without a raft to drown
You showed me the wrong path to take
With false morals and feelings that are nothing but fake
If you didn’t love me why did u pretend
Thanks for teaching me what its like to be heart broken
Its one lesson I wont be soon to forget
But its one lesson ill be sure to regret

Loneliness is my bedfellow
My heart pumps in shades of yellow
With every beat
I clutch the sheets
As my cries vanish with the whispers in the air
While the shadows dance upon the stairs
And after it all
I take your picture off my wall

I listen to the saddest music I can find
And try to let myself unwind
Memories of you are placed in the back of my mind
Hopefully they will disappear with time
As I hit this bottle of wine
I couldn’t even walk a straight line
It helps me ease the pain
Tears for fall for reasons simple and plain
With everything I have left I try to restrain
But I think about what we’ve became
And everything I tried to obtain
I watched it all go down the drain
And I hand myself the blame
I take it all in vain

I reach up to the sky
It hurts so much inside
I grab the stars with my fingertips
But I cant grasp them long enough I always slip
Everyday I see your portrait
Your beautiful I must admit
Scars that I was given
This life I am now livin
Trapped in this imaginary prison
Pictures of you that once kept me driven
Thoughts of you and me
These things that would never be
Things that won’t be forgiven

Loneliness is my bedfellow
My heart pumps in shades of yellow
With every beat
I clutch the sheets
As my cries vanish with the whispers in the air
While the shadows dance upon the stairs
And after it all
I take your picture off my wall
