Getting Warmer

It's only going to get into the mid 80s today but it's
supposed to be in the 90s tomorrow and for the rest of the
week. After hearing that, I started cooking.

I baked two pies--one cherry and one blueberry, an apple
cake and banana bread. I made a potato salad and boiled
some eggs for deviled eggs. I defrosted a whole chicken
which I'll roast tonight. I also planned the menus for the
rest of the week--barbequed pork ribs with coleslaw and
cornbread; steak (which I'll marinate) before it's barbequed
with baked potatoes and salad; pecan coated chicken
drumsticks with potato salad as well as assorted cold cuts,
meat, and cheeses (cotto salami, ham, pepperoni, Italian
salami, provolone and cheddar) for sandwiches with potato
chips. Desserts will be as above. I've made pitchers of
lemonade and iced tea.

Gavin mowed the front and back yards today (they needed it!)
and fixed my vacuum cleaner so I could vacuum the house.

It's almost 8 p.m. I've emptied the dishwasher and need to
put the clean wash in the dryer and then to bed to watch the
Antiques Roadshow.

It should be a quiet week. I hope.
