Happy Belated 4th of July!

First off there is nothing wrong with being in the picket
line about recycling. Not only is being a resourceful non-
wasteful society a noble cause (despite what certain
*cough* non-environmentalists may think) but I see the
fact that you are fighting for any cause as a positive
thing. Yes Nick, you are right. There are much more
important things to bitch about then which bin to throw
away your newspaper. There are people suffering and
people should always be a priority over trees. I would
never disagree with that. Even being the treehugger I am.

But isn't it better that these treehuggers are not just
sitting on a couch being apathetic towards the world.
Maybe they have an interest in trees because their dad was
a forester or they grew up by a national park. Should
interest not help lead a path to a cause to be fought? At
least they are trying to have a positive impact on the
world. Its like saying its silly to eat a fat free veggie
burger with fat filled fries. You minus well eat the
whopper with the fries you say. But I say that 2
unhealthy things is worse than 1 unhealthy thing. And not
being involved in any causes is worse then being involved
in an unimportant cause.

Even if recycling is an overhyped cause that may not worth
fighting for (and it probably is). And even if I think
recycling should be banned... I'm still glad that people
are always stirring up the water. Keep stirring it up
everyone. Fight for the poor, fight for political change,
or just fight about what color your neighbors house is. I
may disagree with what you are saying, but I love the fact
that you can say it. And I love even more that I can
challenge you back. Its what makes USA a wonderful
place. All its potential for change. Happy belated 4th
of July! And for all those people out there who don't
have their priorities straight and only care about
recycling... keep it up to piss off Nick. ;) I'm just
teasing Nick. I love yoU! :)
