Summer 2002
2002-06-22 17:24:24 (UTC)

Its only one day

Okay my sister Elaine wanted me to write one of these. Only
because shes nosey and wants to know everything! Just
kidding! Lets see, let me give a background about me and
where I am in life right now. I am 24 years old, a graduate
student at CSUN, I live in a one bedroom apartment with my
husband (Robert) of about 2 and a half years. I dont work
and have been enjoying speding the summer hanging out with
my sisters (Ouie and Elaine) and my niece (Chon-squat). So
far we have spent a lot of time at my pool, at my moms
house, the library, at the beach, and even a few hours at
the emergency room. So far its been an interesting summer,
with the promise of getting more interesting.
Today is my husbands little cousins graduation party.
We are heading up to Santa Barbara in a little over an
hour. I was really looking forward to this party BUT.....
last night I had to go out and buy her gift. My husband and
I hardly spend any time together because of his work hours
so I decided to wait for him to wake up so that we could go
together. MISTAKE!!! I had planned to spend about 25.00 o
the gift, well everytime I take him anywhere
he spends atleast 70.00 on things for himself. So my 25.00
trip cost almost 100.00!!! He has no idea what our
checkbook looks like and always assumes that no matter what
he spends I will figure out a way to make sure everything
gets paid. I am tired of having to be the one to stress
about paying rent every month. But I also dont trust him
with money and I know that if I let him pay bills we would
have no place to live! What makes it more difficult is that
I don't work and he is the only one bringing in money right
now. Because of that I can't complain when he spends money!
Its a vicious cycle.
I have been with my sister Elaine all week and today
will be the only day i dont see her! :( Her and Ouie are
suppose to go to esquats (?) party tonite. His band is
playing green day covers. I really wish I could go! I think
it would be classic to see esquat singing!! Well untill
next time. -Liss
