Sentiments on death

Untitled sonnet followed by 8 haikus. It's the first time
I have ever used haiku structure since elementary school.

Death

Again catalpa blooms perfum the air,
Dangling suspended, all rooms are rented;
Production cannot be prevented,
As bees find pollen to serve their lair.
In time again, the branch's naked, fall looms,
Wind rips by, as brooms across the stone floor,
Broken branches scream, yet live in the core,
A living trunk ever closer to a tomb.
The skin flaking from our clasp'ed hands
Leaves no growth rings, yet filters to sand...

NO FURTHER DAMAGE
FLIES CANNOT ENTER YOUR MOUTH
NOR LARVAE SHALL BREED

SWELLING PUSTULE
WROUGHT WITH WORKING VIRGIN AXES
KNAWING AT THE PURE

THE BURST WAS NOT SEEN
A FEW SERAPHS SHED BLOOD TEARS
AND CARRION FED BELOW

THE BLACK MAN SMILED SMUG
FAITH WILTED IN THE MASSES
SULFUR ASHES FELL

AND THE WORMS AWOKE
HEMOGLOBIN NOURISHMENT
FED EACH SEGMENT WELL

THE SAVIOR ASLEEP
SAW NOT THE SPECTACLE'S END
OR ITS BEGINNING

THE DIVINE ORIGIN
NEVER COULD BE SUFFICIENT
WHEN IT IS A LIE

FROM MITOCHONDRIA
YOU HAVE MADE A FULL CYCLE
DETRITUS IS RICH
