The Life of Jack

Well, I'm a freshman again........DAMN!!!!!

As my creative title suggests, I'm a college man now. I can
only pray that this freshman year is better than my last
one, I can't switch schools like i did before... Anyways, I
guess I should feel something, but i don't, for me this is
like when i graduated from Aycock, all it is is going up
another step, but staying where I am, Hell, the drive to
school won't even change all that much, and yet so much IS
going to change, new school, new classes, new friends, and
a mile long trek to start off every school day. Why did
they have to put the Freshman parking lot on the other side
of campus from the Music building? Blah. Anyways, a lot is
going to change for me, but i still have all my friends
from Grimsley to hang out with as I plow my way through it,
at least i hope so, everyone's acting like I'm going
halfway around the world and like i'm never going to see
them again. Kinda weird, it's as though they expect me to
stop hanging out with them or something, but I'm
guessing/hoping that I'm just reading this wrong. Project
Graduation was interesting to say the least, I went up and
sang a couple of songs for karaoke, only one of which was
serious. The first one was me, Michael Mabe, James Harmon,
and Daniel Stringer singing "You make me feel like a
natural woman" by Aretha Franklin. It sounded like crap but
it was funny and everyone loved it anyways. A little bit
later I went up and sang "Everything you Want" by Vertical
Horizon and i got numerous compliments for that one. I then
went and played around in the casino for a while, it was
pretty cool, whenever I just wanted to waste some time, I'd
head to the poker tables, but whenever i felt like actually
playing around with my money, I'd just put all my money
down on something at the Roulette wheels. I lost $125000 in
one spin that way, and that killed my gambling for the most
part, but I didn't really care by that point, people had
over a million bucks by the end of the night, so it's not
as though I could have gotten anything that ways anyways. I
think it was Brent Simmons who ended up putting up 6.5
million to get the DVD player, but I already have 3 DVD
players, so i don't really care. I won $25 as a door prize,
which is pretty cool, I also got this tiny little radio
that i can use when I jog, and i got a caricature done of
me that looks absolutely nothing like me, it's kinda sad,
but oh well. What suprised me was that i didn't really get
tired at all, I just got home and went to sleep immediatly
at like 5:30 in the morning, I don't think I even yawned
once the whole night. Project Graduation was cool all in
all I suppose, and it was nice hanging out with everyone
one last time, I'll probably never see most of them again,
which strangely doesn't hurt all that much, I guess they
never became more than slight friends, weird since I
usually become horribly attached to people, but it makes it
easier on me, so I'm not complaining. I guess that's all
for now, talk to you later. Until i type again.
