A Bug's Death

I just got back from lunch with my friend Brett. It was
great to hang out and chat as always. He dropped me off at
my house just now, and as he was leaving...this is so
funny...a bug flew into his mouth. He coughed and hacked
for a while, and then declared the bug dead.
I went to IKEA again yesterday. There was much drama at
first, because my phone didn't give me all my messages, and
then ended up giving me a billion messages all at once.
Half a million of those were from my livid mother, and it
was upsetting. The other half a million were from Katie
Chapin, telling me she had a van I could use to move my
stuff. So anyway, the adventure eventually began, with
Katie behind the wheel, and Luis on the floor. We came home
hours later with a full van. The apartment is looking good!
So, it's really depressing...Linus just told me he doesn't
want to be my friend anymore. He says we just don't have
anything in common anymore. This is after I've called and e-
mailed. I am pretty mad about it at the same time.
Apparently, anything short of calling EVERYDAY, wasn't good
enough. There must be something attractive about being
restless and drifting, because now that I am happy and
content, Morgan and Linus both seem to not want anything to
do with me. But I've decided that this is me being happy,
and if that's not the way they like it, or if they object
to me being happy with someone who is not them, then so be
it. Can't please everyone. I guess it's one of those
moment, where true friends reveal themselves, and people
who are addicted to being needed, are proven not to be as
self-less as they'd like me to believe. Life goes on. It
has to. I hope they grow up. And I will miss the things
that made us good friends in the first place. What a
depressing entry.
On a lighter, wonderful note, I am going to go see if Luis
needs help building a bookshelf. Gabe and Lyndsay came over
last night to the apartment and helped put together the
diningroom table and chairs, and the entertainment center.
The entertainment center is AWESOME. It was a good deal too.
