Just Checking in

Yeah, just like the title says. I'm just checking in,
saying hi to everyone lol.
So one my my friends -- pure anonymity here -- called me
today, asking if she can stay over tomorrow night, saying
she needs to get out of her house. I'm really worried about
her, she told me all she'll have with her are her
schoolbooks, a change of clothes, a MetroCard and six
bucks. I know we haven't exactly been the best of friends
lately, because we haven't spoken in a while, but I am
worried about her. She said she's not even positive that
she'll be here tomorrow.
My whole life suddenly seems to be changing, and I don't
even know where I'm going to end up. I have to report for a
total of 16 hours job training over the next month and a
half, I'm nervous about my job. I have no idea what's going
on with my friend (^), she said if she shows up tomorrow,
she'll tell me. And, I dunno. I've just been feeling really
distant lately.
I swear Dashboard Confessional's songs are written just for
me :) Like, take "Anyone Anyone," or "This Brilliant
Dance." So relateable. Chris is just amazing with his
lyrics. I could write, like, ten pages on how much meaning
his songs have to me.
To bore you all, a few of my fave lines from his songs:

"Waiting here with hopes the phone will ring and I'm
thinking awful things and I'm pretty sure that few would
notice."

"And this apartment is starving for an argument. Anything
at all to break the silence."

Wandering this house like I've never wanted out and this is
about as social as I get now."

"And the plaster dented form your fist in the hall where
you had your first kiss reminds you that the memories will
fade."

"Get a little nervous sometimes it'll be my queue and I'll
forget my lines...I never really mastered disinterest."

"And breathing is a foreign task and thinking's just too
much to ask and you're measuring your minutes by a clock
that's blinking eights. This is incredible. Starving,
insatiable, yes, this is love for the first time."

Isn't he just incredible?
On a lighter note, everyone should go read Dandelion Wine,
by Ray Bradbury. I've only read one other book from his,
Farhenheit 451, which I absolutely loved, but this book is
nothing like it. It focuses more on the atmosphere than the
person. It's a bunch of vignettes ties together through
this one boy, Douglas. It's really good, definitely worth
the read if you're interested in those sorts of books.

Current Song: Terri Clark, "Catch-22"
Current Mood: "I'm on my way, I don't know where I'm going.
I'm on my way, I'm taking my time but I don't know where.
Goodbye Rosie, queen of Corona, seeing me and Julio down by
the schoolyard." --Simon and Garfunkel, "Me and Julio"
