Day Two of Tracy Case

Day Two of Tracy Case
I flew into Denver at four a.m. Needless to say, I’m a
little tired. I rented a blazer and asked for the quickest
route to the address I was given. The car insurance
lady mapped it out to me, but this sure doesn’t look like
the shortest way to me.
At Charles’ place I didn’t find much. I found several
pictures of Tracy, Allison, and a girl named Moira. They
all lived in a commune type place in college. Charles
lived there too. Why would he keep pictures of these
three in his desk drawer? I pocketed the pictures and a
disk I found with them. It wasn’t until after I left that I
realized he didn’t have any pictures of his future bride
anywhere.
I did find out where Tracy was living for a while before
her murder. I was already out in Denver, and figured
that a trip to Peace Station in New Mexico could be a
good thing. I found out that Tracy had been living here
right before her death. She was a writer, but I’m not
finding anything here that would suggest such a thing.
The most interesting thing was that she didn’t pay for
her room at this women’s shelter, someone else did. I
tracked him down.
He lived about two hours away from Peace Station. He
was a friend of Tracy’s who lent her money when she
was down on her luck. She didn’t have anything in her
place there, but he had some stuff on his computer
hard drive. She would sometimes come and work on
his computer. He printed me off a copy. I stuffed it in
my travel bag, along with the pictures and disk, and
drove back to Denver.
