quote-a-day

Begin challenging your own assumptions. Your assumptions
are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in
while, or the light won't come in.
--Alan Alda

I think maybe I assume a lot. Even when I try not to...I
think I do. I like to think that I don't make assumptions,
but I would be wrong. Perhaps it all goes back to the
Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto
you. (Something like that...more or less.) I wouldn't
want someone to look at me, especially the things I
consider my flaws, and judge me from that. Or assume
things about me. I would want them to get to know me.

*The me who by 2 AM....gets completly delrious, and also
somewhat honest and amusing.*

*The me who trips up the stairs leaving a trail of
frappacino.*

*The me who loves music.*

*The me who trys not to cuss, but at any moment may say
under my breath that so-and-so needs to shut the hell up.*

*The me who misses being a real family, but loves being a
big sister watching my younger brother grow up and become a
wonderful guy and daddy's little girl..no matter how old I
am...and the daughter who...no matter how many times my
mother pisses me off...can participate in an organ-pinao
duet at a Christmas Eve service...and just for a little
while, make everything perfect with the world.*
