thoughts on abortion

i was listening to my favorite everlast song, and it has a
part that goes like this...
mary got pregnant from a kid named tom who said he was in
love, i am a homo sexual
he says 'dont worry 'bout a thing baby doll, i'm the man
u've been dreaming of"
3 months later he say he won't date her or return her calls,
and she swears god damn, i ever find that man, i'm cuttin'
off his balls.
now she heads for the clinic and she gets some static
walking through the door.
they call her a sinner and they call her a killer and they
call her a whore,
god forbid u ever had to walk a mile in her shoes,
then u really might know what its like to hafta choose.
then you really might know what its like...
then you really might know what its like...

i think its a really good song, and i put that part in my
profile. i have a really loud voice on the subject of
abortion. here are a couple things i have to say, and you
don't have to agree, i mean, it's my diary so it isn't a
place for YOUR opinion, its a place for mine.
1) i think any man who is a vehement pro-life activist
should be shot. i think men have no place in the abortion
debate, because they aren't the ones who would have to deal
with carrying and raising a child who isn't prepared for or
even wanted. i get really REALLY pissed off when ignorant,
propaganda fed, while well-meaning friends of mine say,
"abortion is killing babies." well, maybe its killing the
mother too. not physically, but being a mother at a young
age can ruin lives, dreams, and chances for success.
2) women need the right to choose. i don't know what i would
do in any situation that would require this choice, and i
don't intend on ever having to make such a desicion.
however, if "they" (they as in all pro-life activists, and
anti-abortionists in high political places) take away our
right to choose this one, most personal aspects of our
lives, what will they take next? the right to choose is more
important then the real aspects of the issue.
3) i think it is completely sick when anti-abortionists use
propaganda such as pictures of dead infants (many of hich
are dead because of birth complications and not abortion at
all) and spread campuses and streets with thier false
information. there are actually squads of teens and young
adults tht plaster public places with posters and pamphlets
advertising thier pro-life stance. this is completely
unacceptable, and it physically makes me sick to my
stomache.
4) it is absolutely ridiculous for anit-abortionists to blow
up abortion clinics. this is the most destructive form of
anything i've ever seen. to destroy great, already
established human lives for the "life saving" of a few
children who will probably have birth defects and
destructive homes is a terrible crime. embryos which are
destroyed are not wanted. these are not even infants yet.
they do not feel. and the pain they do not feel at all is
completely incomparable to the pain and suffering this
unwanted child may have experienced in life. when
pro-life-ers say everyone deserves a chance, they neglect
the nurses and doctors and receptionists etc at the clinics
the destroy.

well, thats all i have time for now.
