Rant & Rave (imagine somebody yelling, possibly Lewis Black on the Daily Show)

There's something in our translation of The Odyssey. It
keeps referring to "God", singular, capital G. They are
ancient greeks! They have many gods! They don't have just
one monotheistic, singular, capital G "God"! It's probably
just an english translator 100 years ago or something, but
he could do better. Does he mean Zeus? Athena? Poseidon?
The gods in general? Which? He also refers to "the gods
(correct) in heaven"! What is this heaven? They are on
Mount Olympus! This translator evidently doesn't have a
good grasp of the ancient greek religion.
