Crazy What You Could've Had

Microsoft Works. Oxymoron. Haha!

Firstly, this came at No.1. on a website poll of Oxymorons.
I find it true enough, it is a joke. For example;

I try to read my e-mail today, I'm used to anything I want
to save having 'Error #80077f' or some such, that comes as
standard, and I can get around it, fortunately enough, but
I tried to load up an e-mail on O.E., and it gave me a '?'
and the following quote.

'This operation could not be completed because it would
upset the hierarchy of the toolbar.' What in the name of
all the waffles in Belgium? Firstly, the 'hieracrchy of the
toolbar'? Crap. Toolbar schmoolbar. And how could I upset
it? Is my CD player that important that I can't over-ride
it?

Jeez, I don't know.

I watched 'Papillon' last night. It was great. I've never
been able to get into the book, I still try and plough my
way through the first few pages, and never succeed, but
after that, I have much more of an incentive. Its one of
the better films I've seen (Note the lack of trashy films
unless I KNOW I'll like them. Its better like that. 'I'm a
professional cynic....') and should translate that to book.
The books tend to be better after all.

Oh, and I promised you all something. I was reading
somebody else's diary, and it seems they'd had a similar
spell of boredom to mine, and had found a website that give
you a personality profile to your name. So. I tried it out.
And here you go.

Marco
------------------------------------------------------------
The name of Marco has given you sensitivity and
appreciation for the finer and deeper things in life. You
can enjoy reading, study, and contemplation about many
different subjects. When your interests or curiosity are
aroused, you work intensely at new undertakings, but your
interests often wane when you encounter drudgery and
monotony, with the result that you leave many things
unfinished. Your name has taken you into many bitter
experiences. The greatest lack in your life is stability
and peace of mind. A peaceful and quiet environment,
especially out in nature, is one of your greatest desires,
but you are constantly taken into chaotic conditions.
Because you have high ideals and are a principled person,
you have been disillusioned and disappointed in people on
many occasions and have experienced much aloneness. You are
fond of outdoor sports, where you can find an outlet for
your nervous energy. Impulsiveness could bring frequent
accidents and unfortunate happenings into your life. You do
not like to be restricted or to have your freedom curtailed
in any way. You find it difficult to control your thoughts
and could swing in moods from one extreme to the other.
Your speech can become very critical and sarcastic when you
are frustrated or crossed. This name creates a weakness in
the heart, lungs, and bronchial organs, and could cause
heart trouble, pneumonia, asthma, or tuberculosis. It also
creates tension in the nervous system, particularly the
solar plexus and stomach, causing nervous indigestion and
relative conditions.
------------------------------------------------------------

A little worrying the way it predicts my death, probably
from something that will be somewhat untimely. And is my
CNS screwed? I do hope not. My neck's been giving me gyp
and.... *The deafening sound of people not listening any
more*.

See you then.

WILT? Ready Or Not - The Lightning Seeds (The Very Best Of
Them, no less).

Oh, and I'll post a link to the name doodah soon-ish, and
thanks for putting me on the trail.
