Crazy What You Could've Had
I Can Taste The Air.
So then, what, a fortnight in and finally we get to a point
where I want to be back in Norwich more than anything else,
where my space isn't intruded on, where I don't feel prying
eyes preventing me doing anything. If I was doing anything
odd I wouldn't mind, but the fact that I'm just A)Playing
EA Ice Hockey on the Mega Drive or B) Putting stuff away in
my room, both of which are the subject of 'amusing' abuse
from my mum.
Why? Is it that unheard of that while sitting around,
people do things to relieve boredom, and sometimes those
things are thing they did 5 or 6 years ago. Is it stupid to
put my shoes under my bed and then be distracted by a pile
of a papers (A-Level French notes, no less). Lor lumme! I
don't need 'are you alright?', 'will you be alright to get
up?'. Why would I?
Maybe I'm being petty, but this is one of the things people
would list as their 'reasons to leave home', not high, but
on their. I can't complain about freedom, I can do what I
want, when I want, as long as I tell her, which is fair
enough. I just prefer to be alone.
I don't know, I suppose I'm over-reacting. I've had a bit
to drink, and it seems more serious than it is. We've been
getting on fine, its been a bit 'walking on eggshells' but
we've been doing fine. I suppose both of our Easter breaks
are over now, both working for afterwards, and we get angry
quicker. Anyway. Speaking of which.
Until the next time. I go home on Saturday. Yes, I say
home. I spend more time there, I've designed it all! It is
my 'HOME', though Huddersfield is still my home town.
Hopefully, I'll end up settling in Norwich, we're perfect
for each other.
NO! (He pre-empts) NO MORE NORWICH PRAISING! (Not today, by
Simon & Garfunkel - Homeward Bound. (Yes. 'Each town looks
the same to me, the movies and the factories' - that's why
I love Norwich. Its not a town. Its its own place....I'll
go now... - CM 0102 beckons. Oh, but I have something for
you tomorrow. One of you might be able to guess what it is,
giving no names...)
