Crazy What You Could've Had

Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before.

I've been a-wandering these last few days, like I always do
when I get home. Its great to spend an hour or so a day
just trudging round, seeing people who live around and
about occasionally having a chat, going back to places you
used to go when you lived here.

I can't do it anymore. They've stolen my football pitch.
Not content with the see-saw and roundabout slowly
disappearing over the last 5 years, piece-by-piece, they've
finally taken away the wonderful goals that were the
swings. I wanted to sit yesterday in the sun, and read the
Examiner whilst swinging slowly, like you do. It seems that
is no longer an option.

The swings are not only gone - but the land has been
raised, levelled whatever. I was gutted. I could see it all
flashing back to me, 30 yard free-kicks scored, lobs scored
and conceded, even a spetacular overhead kick conceded, all
those moments that make you gasp when they happen, they're
stored in my memory, but now, now I can never go back and
relive them.

I don't know. I just wanted to be there again, to do it all
over again. Its gone forever more now. Crap!

Anyway. Enough entries that are Smiths song titles.

I'll try and lighten up a bit.
