Movies, the weekend, and spring break

Well, it's Monday. A very nice Monday at that too. Too hot
though. Just as I am loving Florida weather, it gets
stinking hot and realize that this is the tropics and
nobody in their right mind should be living here. I swear,
without air conditioning and bug spray, this state would
have no population whatsoever. This past weekend, Saturday
actually, I went with my movie partner (my mom. pathetic, i
know, but she paid so that's good) to see A Beautiful Mind.
It's based upon a true story of a Princeton University
professor who won the Nobel Prize. John Nash was also
exceptional because he has schitzophrenia. Good movie, very
tough though. I know what it's like to not have control
over your own mind. It's the scariest thing in the world.
Death would be a welcome respite. I don't think that I
would have been able to put up with it if I was his wife.
That's a truly terrible thing to say, but it's honest. What
a wonderful gift that would be. I don't know. Maybe I
could. It would depend on who my husband was, and how
deeply I was in love I suppose. I also saw Artifical
Intelligence yesterday. Okay, what's with these really
depressing movies? Poor kid!! Good concept though. But I
can see why it wasn't a smashing success.

It's the first day of spring break. Yes children, it means
that I'm painting my room. Everything is out of my room and
in my sister's room. I never realized how much shit I
actually had. There is going to be some MAJOR decrapping. I
have homework that I need to do as well. The paint has been
bought and the brushes and the rollers and the drop cloth
has been placed on the floor. I just finished sanding the
baseboards. Bridal blush is the color for the baseboards
and the ceiling and the fan. Note to self: remember to
paint the fan. Okie dokie. Hm...what else.

I really like hot dogs. We're having chef salad for dinner.
I'm doing ok. Well, better than ok. I'm fine. Honestly.
It's still too hot. I'm stenciling my bureau too. Ivy. I've
always liked the ivy pattern. I'm sure you've seen some
variation of it. The bed spreads that are white with the
green ivy all over it. Yeah, it's always been attractive to
me.

Erin says that I like Art Nouveau. So, now, apparently, I
have hired her to be my interior designer. She'll just have
to wait until I get my house built. Interesting.
