ER, Hartnett County style

Friday was just one of those days that you know you just
have to get through...and so you count the minutes, while
continuously watching your watch. Luckily, our organic
chemistry professor let us out 15 minutes early. So, the
day was pretty and I took advantage of it. I made a trip
to the bookstore, and just in case you were wondering, the
bookstore does not carry St. Patrick's Day cards. :-p Made
the PO run...I got a package from my mommy! She loves
me. :-) Then I journeyed to the park. I sat in a swing
and just read some stuff and wrote a bit. :-) Then I came
back and opened my package and then took a nap. :-)
My poor roommate...she was so frustrated when she came back
from her stupid class. I love her. She'll get through it,
she's a strong person. :-)
Then our Jamie...she gave us a little scare on Friday
night. To make a long story a bit shorter we ended up
taking her to the emergency room. That my folks...was
quite an adventure. My summary of adventures in the
waiting room...First of all...if I have kids, they will be
disciplined and be taught to behave in public. I have
never seen such unruly kids. Secondly, I do not need to
know the entire sexual history of the 2 girls sitting
beside me who were likely my age or younger. Just could've
done without it. Lastly, all that I could pick up from the
massive amounts of spanish conversation around me...was
that senora had on pink shoes, but she thought that they
were blue. She also has red, purple, and green pants. :-p
I knew that spanish class would come in handy at some
point. :-p Finally they let me go see Jamie, and we made
it back home around 11:45 or so. She's gonna take it easy
for a few days...rather she likes it or not. :-p Hopefully
she'll get over this nasty stuff soon. :-) Until then,
we'll make her take it easy.
Today I managed to get up by 9-ish...and Jamie and I went
to get her meds before lunch. This afternoon I managed to
vacuum he room, do some laundry, do the dishes, and do a
bit of review for my cell lab quiz this week. For dinner I
met Ashley at Ham's. Yum. Then we managed to have fun in
the local Wal-Mart and then come back to CVS...bypassing
the gathering in the parking lot. Whew... ;-)
Tonight I managed to clean the fish tank...which definitely
needed to be done and I did very little spanish. Bridget
Elise called me and we had 1 of our random hour-long
conversations. :-) So yay for that! I was pretty excited.
Tomorrow Meredith and I are headed to NCSU's library to do
some much dreaded research. It would be nice to be able to
do it here on campus, but that would require our library
having sources more recent than 1949. Grr... And tomorrow
night...I must work. Lots.
