Plans! At Last!!!

Well, hiya! Been a bit, hasn't it? Well, my college
roommate came down to visit. I was afraid that it would be
akward because we didn't part on the best of terms, but it
was really good! I had a really good time, and I think that
she did too. We saw another one of our roommates (there
were 4 of us all together) and her boyfriend. Cheesecake
Factory for dinner, then onto a bar with a scary outside,
but it was really nice inside. One of those places that
you'd never go unless someone you know and trust told you
about it. It was fun! Very cute boy playing guitar and
singing. I don't ususally go for the artsy musical guys,
and this guy was pretty skinny and had long hair. All
against my type (I know, that's a terrible thing to say,
but it's true. I have a type. I'm a big girl and I need a
big guy to compliment me. I like the short haircuts and the
broad shoulders. I'm sorry, sue me) but caught me for some
reason. Then on to another bar (we sound like alchololics,
but it wasn't like that) and it's always good to go places
with people who know the bartenders and general
managers 'cause then you get free drinks. We all had a chat
and then Erin and I came home and crashed. It was actually
a very adult night. We had adult conversation, adult
drinks, wearing our dressy-up clothes and didn't get
trashed. Though we did drink A LOT. Mostly wine though.
Food was fabulous, service wasn't. But if you complain
about crappy service, you get free dessert :) That's always
good. Then, this morning, we got up and went to the art
festival in the park. Well, by 9 am it was 87 degrees and
VERY VERY humid. So, we found the art museum and paid our
student admission (yay for $1 student admission!! and yay
for cute little old ladies who are so nice and want to show
you everything and you want to take them by the hand and
bring them home with you because they are so cute!!!) and
saw the largest collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany art in
the world. So gorgeous. I love that place. I could spend
hours.

Next, it was time for a smackeral (if you know where that
saying comes from, and what it is, you win a prize) and we
were going to eat fair food. There were steak sandwiches
that sounded good, but they were $6 and that was without a
drink and no airconditioning and it was so hot and we'd
have to eat standing up. So, we went to a very nice little
cafe and had salads and sandwiches which were must tastier
and better for us than fair food. Then, we came home. You
know, it's been awhile since I've actually had plans, and
accomplished things before noon. Very culturally
enlightening. Yup. So, all is well in this neck of the
woods. It's spring break and that's refreshing. I'll be
painting my room lavender and redoing stuff. Some
decrapping and getting rid of things. I have school work to
do to, and I hope, no I KNOW that I'll do them. All classes
are well except math. I really need to work on that. Okay,
time for a swim.
