Carrion Eater

I said I'd love her
Forever
I told her that she
Might be the
ONE
And yet, I take away
Her happiness, spit
On her good intentions
And watch her suffer
With glazed and deadened eyes
Even as her soul
Her beautiful beautiful spirit
Leaks out of her at each
Dying throe
I perch, wings folded
And fill my shriveled
Gut with her anguish
