Just another manic Monday

My weekend went by too quickly. I spent Friday playing host
to my mom's Homemakers Club party. I made about 50 cookies
and 30 parmesean pastries. I thought the night would never
end, not to mention I spent about $80 on candle holders and
baskets....and that was at half price! I went back down to
her place Sunday only to find out they could play with Alex
for about an hour before having to go back to church for my
cousin's baptism.

I spent all day (you guessed it) cleaning and grocery
shopping. The place was a wreck and it would look decent if
I had a carpet shampooer to clean the floor. Alex has just
massacred the once-clean carpet. I think I might do
some "spring cleaning" this week to just get ready for
moving in two months. It's always good to move with as
little crap as possible and we've got lots of crap. Maybe I
can covince my mom to come up sometime to clear out the
stuff we just don't need.

I'm thinking of flushing my fish. Most of them have died
anyway, so all I have left in there are my two fresh-water
sharks. I would free up some space and allow me to get rid
of the dining room table for now. I also need to ditch the
coffee table because it's just not the most attractive
thing on the face of the earth. I might be possible to give
it a makeover, though. I could strip it and either paint it
or restain it. I'm sure I could think of something to do
with it if I gave myself the time to come up with
creativity. I'd like to put our homeoffice in the dining
nook, but the outlets there are messed up and seem to short-
circuit everything we plug in along that wall. Oh well.

I guess I should start with dinner now, but that's just so
boring. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. My life
just seems so much more exciting when there are problems
going on...but I should just be glad that things are
alright for now. I'm even looking into getting a new home
this spring. That would be awesome. It's across the street
from the property where I grew up. It would be like moving
home. Dave doesn't like the idea, though. He says it's too
far of a drive to work (wussy). He tried saying he doesn't
like the school system, but I graduated there and it's a
better school than most.
