WHAT'S IN JOHN'S LUNCHBOX: Ham sandwich; chicken salad
sandwich; chocolate chip cookies; blueberry muffins; couple
of slices of banana bread; small bag with love note and
dark chocolate candies; apple, orange, and banana; orange juice
and apple juice. (pretty much the same lunch as

QUILTING: Quilted a bit on the Millennium Garden quilt;
worked on American Spirit eagle block

WHAT I'M GRATEFUL FOR: Watching Spice chase a bird until it
finally flew high in a tree branch, out of her reach; the
graceful plumes of wood smoke from chimneys from the houses
in our town; hearing John's voice in the dark; the smell
of lemons

READING: The Age of Homespun by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

WEATHER: Cold this morning with ice on the roads, then
clear in the afternoons and highs in the mid 40s.
