white speckled pills

so why is it that i can only write things after i've taken
one of those little speckled pills that relaxes my mind and
allows my thoughts to come tumbling through my pen like a
waterfall.

and why is it that every time i take a little speckled pill
that i feel like i am an inch away from tumbling down the
falls of addiction.
