HUH!?

Ok, i know i said i wasn't going to write anything until
Monday but too much happned yesterday to not put down for
the record.

Michelle and I went for coffee at the Ragged Edge in the
morning. I wasn't even aware that it was open in the
morning, but i guess it would seem obvious since it is a
coffee shop after all. We played chess on the second floor
and talked and such. It was fun, even though I was
soundedly beaten by her at both games. I had a great time,
and i hope she did too. I'm hoping we can go out again
sometime.

I went to lunch when we got back. I haden't had any dinner
the previous night so i was kinda hungry. Met Steve and
Ryan on the 3rd floor of the library afterward to get some
work done. But as always we got little done. As i remember
the conversation for the two hours we were there ranged
from world languages, the middle east, warfare and the
italian unification. At least no one can say we don't talk
about intellectual things. We headed out to Stine Lake at 4
for frisbee. We used my frisbee, so its had its baptism of
fire so to speak. Jeff discovered, much to his dismay,
exactly where the mud puddle was. I've still yet to hit the
round window of the library when tossing the disc off,
which Steve says would make anyone who does so "THE MAN",
rendering all others on the list worthless. Its a hell of a
throw, but i keep trying.

We went to dinner at 5 because Megan wanted to eat early.
It was odd being in servo and being just about the only
ones there. It was quiet. Too quiet. We decided to meet for
the basketball game at 7:30. Jon and i shoot pool for a
little before then. Jon actually beat me twice this time.
Well actually i beat myself because i sank the eight ball.
I guess I'm still technically undefeated. I must admitt
that jon had his fair share of good shots, hammering in
several in a row. The basketball game was a bit of a blow
out. Our opponents were terrible. They couldn't dribble or
shoot and their defense wasn't to swift either. We soundly
defeated them. Domie got one dunk in, which was simply
amazing!! The pep band was playing at the game. Megan,
matt, tom, bob and steph are in it. They weren't too bad,
having only practiced twice before the game. The Baseline
Bums were there, but it wasn't a game condusive to much
rowdyness and they were kinda contained. Maybe next time
I'll get to see exactly what they can really do.

There was a band called Division St., from Boston, playing
in the junction after the game. I headed back to my room
first to call home and wish mom a happy birthday. All is
well with the family. Well the band was pretty cool. They
did a cool cover of "Beautiful Stranger" by Madonna,
and "Tax Man" by the Beatles. Their own stuff was pretty
good too. I bought a CD of theirs and got a few of the guys
to sign it. It was open mike after the concert. Brandon (my
RA) played some stuff, as did Devin and Nate. I didn't
think any of the people were really bad. One of the groups
did some really good Cream covers. There were a bunch of
girls in the booth next to ours who felt it nessesary to
scream all the time then talk through the music. Nothing
really annoys me more then people being disrespectful of
performers when their on stage. We tried to talk Ryan into
doing the "MMKAYY OPERA" or some Inextremo or something but
he declined. Oh well. Got to bed late but that was ok. I've
grown used to it.
