i'm in a silly mood, humour me;

why is the world wide inside joke seemingly cheese?

everyone i know seems to find it funny, i have yearbook
signatures with pitcures of cheese for no reason by them. i
watch tv and they're laughing about it.

why do we collectively find this rubbery substance funny?

it smells weird, its tastes odd, but good, and can be made
into a great flavouring, but, why do we find it so damn
funny? i mean, its not if you think about it, but yet we
all laugh about it

any input on the topic, or even more, pardon the pun,
cheesy jokes, would be appreciated.
