Musical Bed Buddy

I had a good day. I missed church this morning. It was TOO
cold to get out of bed. Since the house is being painted
there is plastic hanging over all the windows, and when the
heater goes on, the air from the vents rattles the plastic,
and makes so much noise. So I have to cover the vents with
something to avoid the crazy sound. But when I cover the
vents I also don't get any heat. It's dumb.
I had fun watching Willy Wonka today. It's a really cute
movie! Strange, but cute. The Oompa Loompas were freaks. I
didn't like them and they scared me. Especially when they
did cartwheels. The cartwheeling one sucked. Whoever
choreographed them, should have realized that they were
incapable of performing the act, and put in some
alternative move. The other strange thing was the fact that
the little boy's 4 grandparents were all in same bed. All
bed-ridden. And how amazing was it that the one grandpa
just jumped out of bed after being in it for 20 years, and
could walk just fine? No physical therapy or anything.
Amazing. Good movie. I need to try Willy Wonka Chocolate.
There was a most interesting moment, when Clint came over,
because we discovered that we were wearing identical
outfits. What are the odds really...jeans, black sweaters,
belts, black leather jackets, and we even had our rings on
the same fingers. When we went to pick up the pizza we
ordered, I think the guy behind the counter thought we had
planned it on purpose or something, cause he was really
looking at us funny.
After the movie I dug through the plastic to find my piano,
so Clint could play it. I am pretty convinced that
technique and passion have never been more perfectly
unified than in his playing.
I did some homework. Barely made a dent. I plan on getting
up early to do some more. I went to Max's Opera Cafe in
Burlingame. I got an application, and have a singing
audition on Friday. I want to be a waitress/singer there.
Not because I REALLY want to be a waitress/singer, but
because I have no money. And I need some. I was with Carly,
and on our way back we stopped at Friday's. We saw our
friend Tom who was working, and we played hangman for about
30 minutes. It was hilarious. We were using the most
obscure song lyrics possible. Even things that weren't
actual lyrics. Good times. We laughed till we cried and
thought we were going to throw up.
It rained heavily on the way home. There was an accident on
280. It looked scary. From what I could gather, a car had
actually fallen off the road, where it's really steep, and
had just plummeted down into the resevoir. I couldn't tell
for sure, but the paramedics, police and fire department
were all kinda just standing there on the side of the road,
staring into the darkness below.
When I came home, mom wasn't there. Both cars were, and I
didn't know where she was. She hasn't spoken to me since
yesterday. It's kind of nice actually, to not be yelling
anymore. But I got kind of worried when she wasn't home by
1am. However, she is home now. I am glad she is safe, but
sad that she is still acting insane. She yelled at me for
having my keyboard in my bed. First of all the bed is big
enough for the two of us. The keyboard gets the left side,
I get the right. Two, the only reason it's even IN my bed,
is because when the painters are here, I have no more space
free in my room. Three, it's temporary. Four, is it really
that irritating to her that I sleep with a keyboard on my
bed? She made it sound like I was sleeping WITH the
keyboard, like under the covers. Frankly, I am sure there
are people out there sleeping with much stranger things
than a keyboard.
