Don't judge a book by it's cover.

But the Lord said to Samuel,"Do not look at his physical
stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not
see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearrance,
but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
First impressions. Yuck. You look. They look. You shake
hands; fake a smile. Yep, you've got this one figured out,
wrapped up in a box, and slapped into category A, B, or C.
He's either "hip, drip," or "wanna-be." However you do it,
you still label people. Everyone does, and we all do it
based on the superficial. Looks determine the label--
straight teeth, good haircut, right jeans--all the right
stuff. Guess what? God doesn't give a second thought about
jeans and haircuts. People's looks aren't even an issue for
Him. His radar locks on to the heart and makes an
inspection there. He wants to know who you are way down
deep inside. How do you really feel? Are you really mean as
a yard dog, or do you cut other people down because your
heart's been broken and really hurting? God knows the truth
about people--good and bad. He always looks past all your
stuff and sees your heart.
