Performing at the bookstore

Well, Saturday really went surprisingly well (playing
guitar and singing at the bookstore). The only people that
showed up on purpose were friends and acquiantances of
Laura and I. In fact, we actually only had a few real
customers all night, and they all came right at closing
time, when I'd already played everything. So I played some
things again :) I was really nervous all day and right
before I started, but it got better as I went along. Tom
showed up and actually sang along with one of my original
songs, which was really flattering. There's nothing nicer
than someone who's memorized one of YOUR songs. It's really
cool. I'll be doing it again this Saturday, and probably
every Saturday thereafter. Hopefully with all the
advertising Laura's going to do, more people will show up
(and hopefully buy books!).
Last night Laura and Daniel and Ryan and I went to see
A Beautiful Mind at Krikorian, and Little Jahn was working
and he let us in for free, all of us. It was awesome. The
movie was good too. It made poor Laura cry a lot. I managed
to only cry once. Probably because it was Russell Crowe,
and I absolutely cannot stand him. He's the epitome of
pompousness.
I'm going to drive all the way to my counseling
appointment today, hope I don't die! :)
