poem #3

I once had a car that I drove to the beach
the wheels fell off and rolled away
but the hunk of metal still drove forward
seagulls defecated on the windshield
and passing debris cracked the glass
but the hunk of metal continued onward
my patience left long before
the breaks stop working when
i swerved and hit a curb
or was it a dog
with pigtails and blue eyes
and a mother crying grief and sorrows.
I once had a car that drove me to the beach
to meet my fate between the waves.
