Racism in America

I'm at work and Dan and Gary, my coworkers, both white men, go off on the kneeling during the national anthem. "If it weren't for the NFL, where would they work? What other country would they be able to make a living playing football? What else could Michael Bennett do for a living?"
"Pick Cotton."
They laugh.
"Ya notice all the players that are kneeling are BLACK?"
"Well not all of them."
"Ya don't see baseball players kneeling."
"Not yet..."
"I don't understand their protest." (NO YOU DON'T. THAT'S OBVIOUS.)
"Do it on your own time. It's unpatriotic not to stand for the anthem. They should all get fired."
"I don't understand how these franchise owners, who are rich, white men, put up with this shit."
"These protesters are gonna end up running this country if we don't put a stop to it."

OMG... I'm beside myself. They don't even know how racist they are. It's white supremacy. They view blacks and Hispanics as the enemy. A threat to our nation. The white belong on top and they belong on the bottom, or better yet, not here.
It's an us versus them mentality.

I'm happy that I'm not like that. I hope the baby boomers take this mentality to the grave with them.
