A Synopsis of my Life

It does not often happen when I both speculate and write poetry. However, today it came about so. I have at last finished “The Moonrise”. There, I used some religious ideas, which were offered to me by Babay, an elderly priest of the “Ramadan” mosque. I wrote about this earlier so I do not think there is a need for me to repeat myself.
As the new academic year is just around the corner I am thinking that I am unfit for my present-day position of an ESL Teacher at the University. I am really, really worried about this fact as I have no formal qualification in ESL Teaching. I think I will get one in a year however I am afraid this will not be of any help. I remember my granny (May she rest in peace!) who had once told me, “You’ll make it through the winter wearing your old shoes!” At that time, I needed new shoes for the winter however my mom had no money to buy a new pair of winter shoes for me.
I began to take notice of the fact that now as I am getting older I am “making it through” my whole life. That is tragic. For example, I am thinking “Oh, I will spend the next academic year without an ESL Teaching qualification somehow. Please God, all will be good”, etc. So, I do not live, nor do I exist. I am just making it through my years. What is it? It is definitely not good. It is something awful, something incredible in a bad construction, of course. Is anything going to improve? We will see.
