Excuse Me.

Quick entry. Been a long day. Working almost non-stop from the moment I got up. We're behind with our painting schedule. The housewash guy won't be free to do the wash (exterior) until next week. Still need to stain and paint the front balcony flooring and paint the backstairs poles, railing, a concrete-block retainer wall and the balcony railing plus the backstairs poles. I haven'finished putting up the curtains either, TMF's mum laundered. As a related departure from our present endeavours, I couldn't help but see a difference in the way rental homes' drapes and the drapes that were laundered at Christmastime for our family home. Rental drapes were home laundered in a domestic washing machine, and our family home drapes were beautifully laundered at a cleaning service, steam-pressed and covered wirh protective drycleaning film much like cellophane wrap. I've tried to smooth the drapes out as I've hung them to make them look presentable. They'll do nicely. Finished all my inside jobs except the drapes. No as tired tonight. TMF did a great job of all the sanding. Not much left to do. We've done 80% of the woodstaining outside and the last b-of-a-job is doing the painting of the housewalls. We're going to wash the balcony-side ourselves because we can't wair a week for the housewash to be done. A saving anyway. We forgot to bring home the vacuum-cleaner after I was told to put it in the truck...oops.
We needed to pop into a local hardware store to purchase a tool. I got pissed off with TMF because I got what he told me to, theñ he said I got the wrong thing and told me to take it back and ask for a refund. I promptly told him that they would not refund his money but give him credit instead. I made progress today. This is not the first time this has happened, but I seem to fall for it time and again. Usually the belief that I can't do anything right surfaces. Not today. I talked a new way round this that lead him to the decision to us both going back into the shop. While we were there, one of the shop assistant's said at the top of their voice : "Gee we've had some famous people today." The guy who served me made himself scarce. ?? They were very nice considering TMF was being his usual difficult self.
Home now. Got pizza for dinner, which I haven't eaten yet. I've folded yet again. Yes wine. Alcohol an addict's body = not an always positive outcome...back tomorrow morning to write a "12-step style meeting share."
Gnite.
