My Life Thus Far

Burst

It would not be an exaggeration to say I didn't leave my bedroom for more than 10 minutes total today, and that was only to procure food. I have seriously entertained the idea of putting a mini fridge in my bedroom so I wouldn't really need to leave at all. Well, unless I have to. Like, for work or to go hiking.

Even though I didn't get a chance to get a full diagnosis on my knee issue, I'm about 90% sure it's a baker's cyst. The more research I do on it, the more pictures I look at, the more convinced I am. That's partially why I stayed home and rested today. When I woke up this morning it was still tight and sore. Even though I iced it last night. I think it's getting bigger. Although from what I read, it can fluctuate in size and is usually bigger after physical excursion or being on your feet all day. Which makes sense, and perfectly describes the way my swelling varies from morning to night.

Even with my knee acting up, I still got my steps in. I walked in place while watching a Law & Order: SVU marathon with Kiki and Keenan. They hung out with me all day. I walked out just over 12,000 steps because between the show and interacting with them I was totally distracted, making it much less of a challenge to keep moving. Once I reached my goal (and then some), I had to sit back down and ice my dumb knee. It's definitely getting worse, but I have to accept that there isn't anything I can do about it at the moment. I almost wish it would burst on it's own so I can get on with my life.

The kids have tomorrow off from school (for Martin Luther King Jr. Day), but Keenan still has ballet. I had planned on taking them hiking, but I'm not sure if Keenan can manage hiking and ballet in one day. It would be a lot for him. I might just go to the gym. We'll see.

Wow this entry is boring! I guess that's what happens when you don't leave your bedroom. Whatever. I don't feel the least bit bad about it.
