Popping Zinc
I did something today that I haven't done in a very long time. I went to the gym before going to work. Granted, I closed and didn't have to go in until 3:30pm, but still. I went to they gym AND work. Instead of just laying around until it was time to leave for work. I'm motivated. It won't be happening tomorrow (because I open), but even if I just get in a few more workouts per week, it will make a huge difference in my progress. And I do want to see progress. I'm becoming comfortable with the changes I once was uneasy about. I deserve to feel good about myself.
Another workout victory: I did kettlebell squats without knee pain. I can't remember the last time I did any kind of squat without at least my left knee bothering me. Less weight means less pressure on joints.
The work day went by fairly fast, but over the course of the evening, I could feel my voice getting weaker. My body isn't feeling sick, but my face does. My sinuses are irritated, post nasal drip is drowning me, my throat is scratchy. It isn't as miserable as I remember a cold being, but I'm bothered, and I just want it to go away! I was popping zinc lozenges all day. I hope by tomorrow morning the overload of zinc makes a difference.
I haven't even gone to bed yet an I'm already anticipating being tired tomorrow. If I hurry and fall asleep soon, I'll at least get 6 hours...
