Creating my kind of job

I had a thought this morning.

I haven't felt like I belonged at any job I've ever had. I've never had a job I'm passionate about. I've never felt like I was an expert; like I was made for it.

So what if I create my own job? I don't mean be self-employed. I have a more sensible idea.

The one thing I feel confident in is writing songs. Not even playing guitar, or singing. Just writing songs. I've done it for 18 years. It's the only thing I've ever committed my time and energy to consistently. I love doing it, I'm good at it. SO... what if I could make money doing that? I've already tried to get famous with my own songs and my own band so I'm not talking about doing that again. I'm talking about writing for commercials, tv shoes, movies, etc. I've heard there's money in it.

I'd have to get set up to record from home, quality recordings. That will take money. It will also take time to learn how to use the software. Fortunately, I have Brandon to help me. Unfortunately, he's the laziest man alive.

But I need to do this. I need to try. The worst-case scenario is that I end up learning how to record my own songs and not make money at it. It will still be enjoyable and very fulfilling. So now I need to stop doubting myself, and I need to find the motivation to get started, then keep going and see it through.
