My Life Thus Far
But We Won't Be Back
There's nothing better than a hot shower and turning off your alarm. Especially after having to get up early. Earlier than usual. I hate morning so much. I want to be a morning person. I'd feel so much more productive if I could get more done in a day, but alas... fuck mornings.
I got a text from Annie soon after getting to work that she had started peeing blood. Unfortunately, not uncommon for a UTI. Even though the doctor at Peninsula Community Health didn't own up to it, that's what I thought she had. Since the pain was escalating, I had Snookums call and see if the damn culture we've been waiting all weekend for was back. Nope. The 1-2 days they said it would take actually was closer to 3. I was pissed. Snookums dropped Annie off at the mall right as I was getting off work, and I took her to Harrison. I've never had anything but excellent treatment at the Silverdale Harrison campus.
We couldn't have been there more than 10 minutes before the doctor had her diagnosed and already on pain meds. Since we were waiting for the culture and it was supposed to be done that day, the doctor called PCH to get the results. Which they said they would call me with... they didn't (like waiting 3 days with no treatment wasn't bad enough, they didn't even call when they got the results in). It took over an hour and 3 phone calls from the Harrison ER staff before they finally faxed over the results. Within 20 minutes Annie had her prescriptions and we were on our way. In the same amount of time we waited with no answers from PCH, Annie was treated and released by Harrison. I'm done with that crappy clinic. I feel bad that for some, since that's the best they can do. I honestly do. It's terrible. But we won't be back.
Snookums wanted to enjoy the evening, since it as so nice out. So, we took the kids to Fort Worden to play in the sand. It wasn't nearly warm enough for me to lay out, but I did get a walk on the beach in. It was a little cool and blustery. I wasn't really feeling it, but I did it anyway. I find it annoying that it can be 85 degrees (like today) at home, but it was barely 70 degrees at Fort Worden. And windy, which made it feel colder. If it's nice tomorrow, maybe I'll take the kids to Point No Point or something. It can be cold there, too. But it's not too bad if we go earlier in the day, instead of in the evening.
