A Little Salty

I'm not sure what I want to say about today. Work was work. Nothing exceptional there. Other than my usual dislike and general unhappiness with my job, I had the added annoyance of being expected to stay after my shift for a review. I just had one last week. I swear I get them all the time. And it's always the same thing. I'm amazing... I just need to get Angel cards. I really don't give a fuck about opening credit cards. Let the cashiers do it. I'm too busy selling the things I actually get paid to sell. There's no incentive for me to take the time to sell a credit card when I don't get anything for it, and I'm probably missing out on a sale to sign someone up. Nope. Let the cashiers do it. Or they can fire me for not caring. At this point I don't even care. I'll take the unemployment and find a job I don't dread going to most days.

I'm just being a little salty. I'll get over it like I always do.

I went into H&M after work to get something for myself. I felt like shopping. I found a little backpack on sale for $15, and a swing dress for $17. The bag is too small for my wallet, and the dress looks like a maternity dress on me. So, they're going back. It's rare that I strike out, but I did. Oh well, I didn't need them anyway.

I too Kiki and Keenan to the grand forest on Bainbridge Island this evening, an they LOVED it! Keenan will walk forever if he gets to be the leader of the pack, and that's what I let him do. Since the trail system is a series of loops and switch backs, I let him go any which way he wanted, since all roads lead back to where we came from. He walked a good 3 miles before I had to cut our hike short (because it was getting late).

Dad, Snookums and I went on a date night to MOD after I got the kids fed and off to bed. We haven't been there in a few weeks, so it tasted even more amazing than it did the last time I had it! I guess parting does make the heart grow fonder. There's something magical about asparagus on pizza. You'd never think to try it at home, but it was there, and I love all veggies. So good...

My hair stylist messaged me on Facebook today because she had a cancellation for tomorrow! I swooped it up, because originally I wouldn't have been able to get in until July 8th. Craziness. I haven't told anyone but Jess (one of my coworkers) that I'm getting my hair cut, but since I'm probably not getting anything drastic done, I'm sure no one will notice. Except me. My ends are treacherous right now. I need a trim so bad.
