My Life Thus Far

Until Afterwards

I had a lovely day with my Snookums. It happens infrequently with him being in school and both of us working. We got to spend a day together last week AND this week. That's some kind of record. I'm grateful for any amount of time we get together. He's always so busy, and often overextended.

We didn't do anything special. Just ran middle class, run of the mill errands. Costco, Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target. Household stuff. Costco for fruit and other groceries (Snookums bought me a new Nutribullet, too!), Home Depot for a water filter replacement and light bulbs for the master bath light fixture, Bed Bath and Beyond to look for pillows (we didn't find what we were looking for, but we did find the kitties a new food and water bowl), Target again looking for pillows, still didn't find what we were looking for (We saw some at Costco I'll probably go back for), and then we came home. That in essence, was my day.

We got home a little before the kids came home from school, and Snookums had to leave for school. I wanted to take the kids to the park, since it was a nice day, but Keenan feel asleep without even taking his shoes, coat or backpack off. So, I figured he needed sleep more than to play. I kept myself busy tidying up the house and installing light bulbs and changing water filters. I probably should have done some laundry, but that's not something I'm likely to do unless I have to! I took a bath instead. A much better use of my time.

For dinner, I had a smoothie made in my new Nutribullet. I really want the Nutribullet Rx, but it's almost $200 and I can't justify that right now. Snookums got me the Nutribullet 900 series. It's the next step up from the one I've had for almost 3 years. I served me well, but it's starting to get rough. It shimmies across the kitchen counter when I'm blending and it's so loud. Like a jet engine that's got some sort of metal on metal rubbing issue going on. The last thing I wanted was for it to die while making a smoothie. Or for it to just give up all together. I'd be so sad. So, now I've got a shiny new, tip top working Nutribullet, that makes the most velvety smooth smoothies. I put in whole kiwis and I couldn't even feel the little hairs. I couldn't do that with my old bullet.

I'm off work tomorrow too, and I'm heading to Seattle to hang out with Kimmie. She's one of the few people in my life that makes demands on me, and forces me out of my anti-social shell. She makes me hang out with her, and for that I'm thankful. Because without her prompting, I wouldn't. I'd only interact with her on Facebook, and there's never been a time I didn't enjoy her company. Whether I like it or not, I need socialization just like anyone else. I just don't think so until afterwards!
