My Life Thus Far

My Mind Is Scattered

I spent entirely too much time online today. Too damn much. I didn't go to the gym, I only worked 4.5 hours. The rest of the time I basically just debated bullshit in the vegan groups. They by far bring me more grief than anything else in my life. I don't understand why I keep doing this to myself. If they aren't making me feel inferior because of my job, it's something else. For example: the fact that Dingo needs to be crated when we aren't home (so he doesn't eat inedible things and get a bowel obstruction) is cruel. I'm again feeling like vegans are the reason nobody likes vegans. We're not all awful, but some actually are.

My phone rang today (it rarely ever rings). It was a Seattle number, so unlike my usual self, I decided maybe answering it would be a good idea. It was the scheduler for the neurosurgeon Dr. Power referred me to. I'm still feeling like my situation isn't serious enough to warrant a fancy pants specialist in Seattle, but if my doctor things so, then who am I to question him? Well, I'm the patient. I can question him all I want. I guess it's just kind of nice having good healthcare after being treated like a head of cattle by the military healthcare system. I'm really excited at the prospect of no more back pain. Finally, my chronic fatigue has been solved. Now just the nagging back pain that's plagued me since I was pregnant with Keenan.

I worked a shit shift today. 5:30pm-10pm. I can't even look Sara in the face. I don't understand why my hours have been so drastically cut or why I'm working non-peak hours. She's basically given my schedule to Kaitlin. I'm being forced into a position where I'm going to have to find something else, because I can't live on what I'm making. Next week I only work 3 days. Unacceptable. I need to find a new job...

My mind is scattered tonight. I don't know why I can't seem to focus on a coherent thought. I'm just all over the place. I think this is just as good a place to stop as any.
