My Life Thus Far

I Like What I Like

I'm not even sure what to say about today... work was work. It was a quiet day, nothing much worth talking about.

Physically, I'm feeling a little better. I think my UTI is under control. Although, I find the burning sensation comes back if I don't drink enough water. Or right after drinking coffee. While I know caffeine is a bladder irritant, I have little desire to stop drinking it. I'm not addicted. I like what I like. It's that simple. I abstained the couple days my UTI was at it's worst, but I'm done with that now. I've been slacking with my water consumption. I carry my 40oz hydro flask with me every single day, religiously. I just haven't been doing a great job of actually drinking out of it. I've committed to myself that I will start getting more water. Lack of it is what got me in this situation in the first place. That, and not peeing after sex.

Speaking of religion, I somehow managed to piss off Atheists and Christians in the same post. It wasn't my intention, I'm just talented like that. There's a huge controversy going on at a local high school. The football coach likes to pray after games. The school district has a no prayer policy, and he's violating it. Atheists agree, and want him stopped. Christians want him to stand up for his beliefs. The local paper posted a story about it on Facebook, and I commented that as an Atheist I have no issue with him praying. If he isn't forcing others to pray with him, then so what. My comment has the most "likes", but there's also a little bit of a war going on in the comments. Nothing serious. Way less heated than vegan battles get (which I think have conditioned me for this religion post). I have a tough time understanding the all or nothing mentality of humans. Unless it's about veganism. That is all or nothing. But aside from that, I really ascribe to the live and let live ideal. I don't care if people want to pray to an imaginary sky fairy. Just as long as I don't have to. It's silly. But to each their own...

I open again tomorrow, then 3 days off! I enjoy 3 days off in a row. On Friday I'm supposed to be going to Seattle to visit with my friend Kimmie. Hopefully that pans out. Snookums and I are going to do something one of the days. Annie wants to take Kiki and Keenan trick or treating in Colin's neighborhood, but Snookums isn't going for it. So, we'll see about that. It should be a fun few days off. I love being well enough (mentally and physically) to enjoy life again. It's beautiful.
