Battles Against Trolls

This will be a short entry, because I basically did nothing today. My greatest accomplishments were:

*Talking to the kids when they got home from school.
*Heating up some leftover fried rice for lunch.
*Waging internet battles against trolls.
*Taking a bath.

In that order. So, pretty eventful day all in all. Not. But sometimes I need that. I spend so much time wound so tight, it's actually nice to have time to just... be. My kids are in school all day, and when they get home they don't need me for too much. They had a snack did their chores and homework, then Kiki made them dinner (well, warmed up premade meals I cook and leave for them in the fridge).

Kiki and Keenan came in and told me about their day. Keeny showed me the award he got for being respectful and always ready to learn. Kiki told me that she's developed an interest in slavery. Not the stuff they teach you in school, but real history. So, I gave her a (rather thick) documentary on Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings' relationship and their children. It might be a little advanced for her (attention span and maturity level, not reading level), but I know my girl will try her best. I had a tough time getting through it myself, because its full of timelines and old historical documents. Interesting, but not an easy read.

Tomorrow Snookums have the day off together! I have no idea what we'll get into. He suggested going to Auburn or Tacoma (to go to malls better than we have here), but I really don't feel like going to a shopping mall. I work in one. I'll gently persuade him to do something else. If we were going to go to a mall, I'd rather go to Westlake in downtown Seattle, but if I'm going to Seattle, I don't want to just go to a mall... Okay, now I'm rambling.
