My Life Thus Far

There's An Order to Life

The power's out, and has been since a little after noon (so I've been told. I was at work when it went out). The first significant rain Washington State has seen all summer has manifested itself into a full-blown windstorm with torrential rain. I'm not complaining about the rain. We need it. The state is being ravaged by wild fires, any help is welcomed. But why do we have to be without power for almost 11 hours? It's not even that bad. Not even as bad as a winter storm. Living out here in the rural outskirts of the county always feels like we're less of a priority. We're the first to lose power, last to have it restored, and there's never a sense of urgency to solve the problem. I wouldn't care as much if we didn't lose water too. Because we're on a well, we don't have any water, either. As much as I love nature, I miss living in the city. I appreciate modern conveniences!

So here I sit, trying to tap out an entry on my phone. Already my thumbs are tired! No power means no wifi, which means my laptop is obsolete. I was going to write an entry in Notepad, then transfer it over tomorrow, but the format just wasn't right. I'd rather risk carpel tunnel tapping it out on my phone. And this will post tonight, no matter how short it may be, it's still an entry. As OCD as it sounds, I haven't skipped an entry since I started back up with writing in March. It's a constant. It helps me feel stabilized, like there's an order to life. There is an order to life, and it's more than just writing every night, but this is important, too.

So my day... it was off. It started feeling off almost as soon as I opened my eyes. Despite getting a full 8 hours, I was still so exhausted. Usually after I've been up for a couple hours I feel better, but today I can't seem to shake this exhaustion. I need more rest, and I plan on getting it tonight. The next oddity that threw my day was what I wore to work. We're in T-shirt Bra launch, so dress code was modified to include jeans today. I don't wear jeans very much, and certainly not to work. So, that was weird. I don't own a pair that fit me very well, so it was more of an annoyance
