Busy day slow cooking

I had mentioned to him yesterday that I would be picking up
some things to pick up to prepare the crock pot lasagna today.

All I forgot was that parmesan cheese that is supposed to be
sprinkled on top, so he said he would bring that home when he
returned today from running errands. TEAM WORK.

It smells so good in here. Only cook it on low for 4 hours.
I will try to remember how to put it together so those of
you who have a crockpot can try it if you want.

Now, my crock pot is oval shaped and holds much more so
mine did not have as many layers as you would have if
using the round crock pot.

So, brown and drain ground beef. I used a little over a pound.

In bottom of crock pot, layer with spaghetti sauce. Probably
about a cup if you want to measure, but if that does not cover
the bottom of pot just use a little more. It does not have
to be a thick layer....

mix remaining sauce with the ground beef and mix well.
This is where I used the opportunity to add some seasonings...
add your own or if your sauce if ready made, not necessary.
Have this meat sauce mixture ready....

Back to crock pot....

on top of thin layer of the sauce you added first,
layer two lasagna noodles. UNCOOKED I had to lay
one in middle and one on each side. You may have
to break them to fit your pot. Just one layer.

Now, add a layer of the meat sauce mixture....
then add a layer of small curd cottage cheese.

Now add a layer of mozzarella cheese.

Start again with layer of uncooked noodles.
meat sauce mixture
cottage cheese
mozzarella cheese

one more layer if you have enough....

sprinkle last layer which would be over
the mozzarella cheese with a layer of
shredded parmesan cheese.

Cover with lid and cook on low with four hours.

Do not over cook.

On top of that add a layer of motzerella cheese...
