gideon apologies

You're very astute... kudos for catching it and calling me on it. Lest my detractors dare claim I cannot admit a mistake, here i am admitting I am capable of making mistakes. Now if ebay would admit the same thing...LOL...(from post #10)...Let those who bother to take the time to read it find out exactly what the article states and exactly what mistake i made and exactly that i am admitting it. And let ebay be held to the same standards of correctness that I am held to here. (from post #25)...I have admitted my error. By whose standards is it inexcusable? I have let my fans know that i messed up in the initial post, an honest mistake, definitely not something to apologize for, but there's no pride involved. Admitting your mistake IS AN APOLOGY where I come from.. My supporters understand that and will support themselves by getting away from ebay before they get axed. (from post #27) Believe what you will, it actually was not intentional, it was an honest mistake. I must take umbrage with the assertion "purposefully posting misleading information, titles that are either inaccurate completely, or missing info, leaving pertinent words out..." If you go back and examine closely all of my threads and various posts, you will discover a stunning level of accuracy and a deliberate attempt to be as accurate and truthful as possible. As for my agenda, that's been no secret since i began posting back in late April. Those who understand, agree with, and support my agenda post similar sentiments all over the boards here already which echo or closely duplicate the serious issues I bring attention to. They will continue to do so. Those who disagree with my agenda will nitpick and attempt to belittle various posts and threads. They will continue to do so. There are definitely as least two different camps here among posters (arguably more than that). But there are also two recurring premises. The two premises I keep bumping into most often are 1) ebay is invincible, they can, have, and will do whatever they want, they have political connections, etc., etc. 2) we, the ebay users, are powerless to effect positive change at ebay or get anything done. Those are the two crippling premises- however true or false they may be in actuality- that seem to permeate the boards." (from post #53)...Poster Brad comes to gideon's defense: Gideon,

"I forgive you and whether the possible mistake made in the title of your thread was accidental or intentional, I respect that you've repeatedly throughout this thread admitted that errors were made on your part whether with regards to judgement or intentions. I'm not what others positing elude to as a 'fan', but I am a follower, not only of your posts but also of a majority of others who have posted here.

So mistakes have been made from the start of this thread with respect to the subjective content, that's been established. However, after reading every single post in this thread multiple times this morning, I don't believe the thread has been a mistake at all. What I do think is that it's created a content that most certainly defines exactly what this venue has created and many of it's users have allowed themselves to become ... impersonal and with prejudice. Make a mistake here and you're considered an outcast, unforgivable and below standard. In my world, the one my parents raised me in, everyone is forgivable as a human being. But, as is evidenced by many of the posts having been made, that's apparently not true here.

I won't say "kudos" to you Gideon but I will say, and at least to my way of thinking, you pursue what you believe to be right despite opposition and apparently are human as is evidenced by your own admission of mistake. That's certainly more than I can say for many others here. Hopefully you're also as intelligent as my instincts say you are and mistakes like this one will be learned from." (from post #57)
