My heart in a knot

Great day..

So I had a good day at work today : )

I'm really starting to enjoy this new position. At first I was very apprehensive... now I can tell my confidence is starting to build up and people are holding me to higher expectations and I love that.

I'm still not knowledgeable about everything and I still have a lot to learn but if they don't fire me for any mistakes in the next few months then I am bound to learn naturally as I've already demonstrated.

I still have been having this problem of "forgetting customers" I'm working on it though. It's just that things can get really hectic quickly and people start asking a lot of questions and wanting me to show them things and I get so caught up in them that I forget about the last person. I think eventually I'll break that habit though.

Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to practice more and gain more confidence to really allow my true self to show. For instance I'm not often the kind of person who jokes with people, even though I want to.. but lately I've been wanting to joke with the customers.. but I've held myself back because I didn't want to come off as goofy or childish..

Anyway so far so good...

I feel like the more I interact with people the more lonely I feel and that's an interesting paradox, but I think it's the fact that I see people talking and interacting constantly and now I'm feeling like I've been missing out on human interaction of years.

Anyway, I've been having a bizarre problem with my car now, my windshield wiper blades won't turn off! even though I have the setting in the off position they continue to run while the car is on. I think the problem has been because of all the rain we have been having lately maybe some water leaked into a place it shouldn't of have and now there is a malfunction.

Today while heading to work I rode the entire way with my blades going, I felt really silly, but not that silly because there was a very light drizzle going on, so when I got to work I researched what the problem might be and one of the things I found suggested it was a problem with the fuse. So after work I took the fuse out and the wipers stopped so I didn't have to look silly on my way home from work as the only car driving down the street with my wipers going.

Apparently this is a problem other people have had, taking the fuse out only cut off the supply to the wipers but it didn't fix the problem, I put the fuse back in hoping it would fix the problem and my wipers would stop but they continued. So right now my only option is to keep the fuse out when it's not raining and put it in if it starts to rain.... the problem with that is that I might be in a situation where I cannot pull over if it starts raining to put the fuse in since it is under the dash and hard to reach... so that entire situation could be really dangerous. Hopefully it won't turn out that way though.

Right now I really don't have the money to spend on taking the car in to fix the problem, I can already tell it will be expensive since the problem was not with the fuse, it might be a problem with a computer chip. After looking into it in more detail I found that I may end up spending around $300 just to get my wiper blades working again...

I got this car for a fairly cheap price but now I'm paying the price.. one of my new priorities now is to save enough money and get a better paying job so I can afford a good quality car, I don't need a fancy new car I just want something that works and doesn't give me problem after problem... Cars can be a big headache and I understand why so many people take public transportation instead, if we had reliable safe public transportation here I'd use that option, but the truth is we don't.

I wouldn't be able to keep and maintain a job which sometimes requires you to be more flexible...

Anyway enough boring talk about my problems and issues... I really have to be more positive and not think the absolute worst... maybe I can find someone to repair it for cheap or maybe I can fix it myself... or better yet maybe the problem will fix itself when the weather drys out in a few weeks..

I can only hope.
