ANDREW:
Welcome to our Monday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth. Today I'm beginning my 2nd week of
teaching on Discipleship Evangelism. I tell you last week was a powerful week of
teaching.
I know that some people take offense at me saying that about my own teaching but I believe
it. I mean if it doesn't bless me I don't know why I think it should bless you. This is
something that has revolutionized my life. I believe that this is the heart of God.
God is not out to just touch people's lives and expose Himself to 'em. He wants intimate,
close, personal relationship with us, and that only comes by the renewing of our mind,
Romans 12:2; that comes through being a disciple, a learner, a pupil, a person who gets in
the WORD OF GOD and changes the way they think.
You are not going to walk with God and have this closeness and intimacy unless you change
your way of thinking.
The scripture says, "How can two walk together except they be agreed."
God is walking in integrity, in honesty, in morality and all of these things, and we have
been trained to lie, to deceive, to put ourself first, to stab people in the back. Many of
us have attitudes that are completely contrary to God, and until we begin to reconcile our
thinking to God, and look at things the way that He does, or another way of saying that,
until we become a disciple, we aren't going to experience this intimacy with God that is
available to us.
On our program last Friday, I used John Chapter 3 verse 16, and that verse, of course, is
familiar to most people.
"For God so loved the world
And I was sharing
but it's having "everlasting life."
And if you use that, Jesus' own definition
the goal of Jesus Christ
