Thanks QWERTY

I was reading this morning that the reason the modern "QWERTY" keyboard was invented was that years ago typists using typewriters with the keys placed alphabetically were typing too fast. As a result the keys began getting stuck together. The modern "QWERTY" keyboard was invented to stop keys from sticking by keeping the commonly used letters apart. It also slows down typists. Hmmm, interesting fact, if we simply leave it alone as a fact, but of course my mind stretched it further to life in general. How busy we as humans become speeding through life. We run from event to event, race from meeting to meeting, rush from appointment to appointment and speed through conversations with others. All along the Creator is saying, "Slow down, your conversations, your events, your activities, your meetings are sticking together". Finally the time comes when the Creator takes the keyboard of our lives and resets it. For me this time it has been "BE STILL". Here is the cool thing, the outcome has been amazing. My prayer life has been so intentional and so awesome. I have sensed His Spirit while I am praying in a way I can't even describe. Writing instead of talking has been amazing. I can't tell you how many times I start to write something on my dry erase board in a meeting or coversation and erase it. It is causing me to take a longer look at what I am communicating and saying. Lastly the 20 minutes a day of talking causes conversation to be more thought out, more meaningful. My talk has progressed from "wow what a hot day it was today" to "wow Johanna, you really look stunning today." So what is God doing to slow our life down? What is He doing in our lives to keep things from sticking together? How is He re-working our "keyboards"? May our QWERTY be life changing as we intentionally slow down and are still.
Psalm 46:10 "He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
