Queen of Hearts

I'm not going to beat myself up for not automatically jumping back on the "daily entry-writing" wagon. Who cares if I do or don't? I figure I'll write as much as the fancy strikes me... or doesn't strike me :)

In the past week no much, but a little has changed. I went ahead and changed my availability at Victoria's Secret. It's now 1:30pm-8pm (no more closing shifts!!!!) with the exception of "Pink Friday" (the day after Thanksgiving). I have no freaking idea what I'll be working that day and quite frankly, I'm scared. But, it's just one day a year and I've survived it 5 times. Pink Friday 2011 shouldn't be too terrible. Tomorrow is my first (possible) shift on my new schedule. I have an on-call from 1:30pm-6pm. I'm actually hoping they use is, unlike in the past. I think closing finally burned me out. I did it for three years. I've paid my dues.

Yesterday I had to go to the mall to get my phone fixed (kid damage, no 4G). As I was walking past VS, I couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful my store is. We're one of the few stores left with the old Queen of Hearts decor (pink carpet, pink and white candy striped walls) and I love it. I know most people like the ultra modern black and white stores every mall has now, but I'm oh so fond of the Queen of Hearts look. Maybe we never be remodelled!

I know I mentioned last week that we adopted a dog from the Humane Society. Today while the kids were at school, Snookums and I went on a little Dingo shopping trip. With all of Dingo's paperwork came a coupon to a local pet shop called Naturally 4 Paws. They sell natural/organic pet foods, treats (baked goods) and products of all sorts... I LOVE THIS STORE!! We ended up spending over $100 when all we went in there for was a harness and a chew-proof leash (which we did end up getting. Along with a fleece coat, winter boots, treats, and three wool toys). Snookums told me I couldn't have anymore babies, so I guess a fur baby will have to do. The wonderful thing is, he'll never be any bigger than a newborn :)
