Terrorism in Norway

I have been amazed at the media's hesitancy to describe the recent bombing and subsequent shooting in Norway as terrorism. If you look back at the first reports of the bombing you can see that no one wanted to say the word "terrorism". The reports were full of statements like "the authorities are not sure of the cause" and "investigations are underway", but everyone seemed to want to steer clear of jumping to terrorist conclusions.

Even after a 90 minute shooting spree where at least eighty-two people lost their lives, the media is still having a hard time describing this as a terrorist act. Why? because the self-proclaimed shooter is claiming to be a Christian who claims he wants to prevent the Muslim takeover of Norway.

Hello! Setting bombs off at public buildings and shooting unsuspecting, terrified people as they scramble for cover can only be described as terrorism. It doesn't matter if the perpetrator claims to be a Christian or not. It is wrong, no matter what religion you claim.
